To help meet these needs, National College funded awards of more than $5 million, distributed among more than 3,800 students, in award year 2008-2009.

To ensure that qualified and deserving applicants are given adequate financial assistance, our financial planning representatives sit down individually with prospective students to identify available sources of financial assistance—some through the federal or state government and others through the college. In economically troubled times, it is no rare thing for uncertainty to pervade the minds of many people who are worried about the job market. Such is not the case for Wardie Parks, who will graduate from the Memphis Campus in 2010 with an associate degree in management. Wardie knows that for an economy to improve, businesses must thrive. Following his graduation, Wardie plans to save up enough money to start or take over a business and contribute to the economy.
