Holiday Bazaar

On December 15th - 17th, the Lexington Campus hosted a Holiday Bazaar. The Student Activity Club organized the event and invited students, staff, and outside vendors to set up tables and sell items. The choices varied from antique clothes, food, candles, African art, scarves and crafts. One company profited over $1,500 in the three days of the bazaar. There were also vendors that spoke to our students about how to start their own business.
The 31 plus vendors came all three days and enjoyed a holiday dinner with the students on Wednesday, the 16th. During the bazaar, students won free prizes, bought holiday gifts, and heard lots of business advice.
The event was open to the public and generated many prospective students. All bazaar vendors have agreed to return to the campus for the next career fair and the black owned businesses will return in February to help celebrate black history week.
