Diploma: Pharmacy Technician
This one-year program is designed to prepare students to gain employment as a pharmacy technician. A pharmacy technician supports and assists the licensed pharmacist with ordering, stocking, and packaging prescription and over-the-counter medications. Other duties may include inventory control, maintaining records, preparing labels, and processing insurance claims.

Career Opportunities as a Pharmacy Technician
Pharmacy Technicians work alongside Registered Pharmacists in retail pharmacies, extended care facilities, rehabilitation centers, and larger out-patient centers that have in-house pharmacies. Certification is fast becoming a key issue, and with the curriculum offered at National College, Pharmacy Technician graduates have a distinct advantage in becoming certified.
The classes in this program can prepare you to successfully complete the Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) examination.
